| A WELCOME ray of sunshine is warming the cold depression on the euro front in Southern Spain. Finca Alta Cocina, set in six acres in stunning countryside near Ronda in Andalucia, is offering bargain breaks to combat the pound’s fall against the euro. The finca runs short cookery breaks, plus holidays of any length without any cooking lessons. Visitors are unanimous that Finca Alta Cocina provides the best cookery breaks in Spain – and at the lowest cost. Prices this year are being kept the same as last year’s discounted level - and anyone staying for three days or more will have an extra day free. For partners and friends of guests on the same break who do not want the cookery lessons, the price including all the meals with wine and the extra day, is €320. The cookery breaks run from Friday to Sunday, and Monday to Wednesday – plus an extra day free at either end of the three-day course.
